Because of this...
Yes, you read that correct. That is 18" of snow... and that isn't a drift! We have been snowed in since Wednesday. All roads in our county have been impassable for days. The roads are finally getting cleared up a bit and we should be having our family Christmas parties soon!! So... for the week I am going to enjoy the extended family time. See you all in the new year!

Just got back from Florida to find all this snow in Nebraska! Wow -- and I thought it was snowy before we left! Hope you have a wonderful belated Christmas celebration -- "see" you in the new year!
I had heard about all this snow from Deidra...you Nebraskans have been "HIT"!!! It's finally snowing here in Toronto today, a light snow but it might "stick"...we shall see.
The main thing is that you are safe and warm and dry and have power...everything else can wait!! xo
Wow! You have way more snow than we do! Enjoy your extended holiday!

Oh my goodness!!! That is a LOT of snow! My parents and all my extended family live in Nebraska and they were snowed in for Christmas as well! I remember those winter blizzards. I Hope you get to enjoy your family, though!
We enjoy the 12 days of Christmas, no rush to "take it down".

Hey...Have you made it out yet?
Beautiful! As a California girl, you have no idea how much I salivate at the sight of these wintry landscapes. Pure magic.
Folks in the Adirondacks know about snow. It starts snowing at least by December. And it just keeps piling up because the temperatures hardly get up any where near freezing.
In February you feel like your home is surrounded by a snow wall. You can't even see the street beyond. In March it starts melting back, but you often have patches into the middle of April.
This past December we had so much snow that we needed snow shoes to get around the yard before Christmas. And this January we've had more subzero weather than we've had for 15 years.
We, too, are encased in snow. And now the temperatures have risen enough that we can actually get out there and enjoy it. (We were below-zero for many days.)
Blessings to you in the New Year.
Hey Jennifer, just wanted to say hi, hope all is well!
